Happy New Year! Doesn't seem too long ago since the last one, honestly... Time sure flies sometimes. Sorry bout the lack of updates, been REALLY lazy, got back from Melbourne about 2 days ago, haven't been doing much, just mainly vegging out at home.

A li'l worried about starting work, which I will probably be doing in around 1 or 2 months' time. Hope I don't screw up or do anything stupid.

Haven't actually been blogging, reading other people's blogs or even going online for what seems like ages mainly cuz: my parents came (and are still here), I just graduated, I went to Tasmania for bout 4 days for a holiday and just returned this morning and I have a shitload of stuff to do (packing, disconnecting utilities, arranging cleaning for apartment etc) before I go back to Malaysia, which will be less than a week's time... I've also got like a a lot of stuff I've got to get rid of before I go, which is a total pain in the ass cuz I have no idea how to sell them off at this time :\

I PASSED!!! Went online to check my results at 5am again this morning, my unknown result finally changed into a P! I think the lecturer *might* have taken pity on me, I got exactly 50 marks. *phew* At least now I can sleep calmly and can enjoy myself without the uncertainty nagging me constantly. Also, my parents don't need to kill me when they come over tomorrow.

Lack of sleep, irregular sleeping patterns, not eating much as well as extreme stress during the past few days has taken a toll on my body, I am down with the flu/cold. I've got an an extremely painful sore throat and a nose redder than Rudolph's. So it's off to bed for some good nightmare-free sleep.

And the nightmare that is post-exam stress goes on...

Stayed up till 5 last night waiting for results to be posted on the Net. When it did come out I scrolled down the subjects and was starting to feel relieved at the 3 Ps (I know P's aren't much, but it's good enough for a lazy slacker like me, ok?)I saw until I noticed the last subject with a big 'WH' [Withheld]. WTF!? Anyway, after like 5 seconds of relief, got all stressed up again... Did the faculty withhold my results because I failed and they're considering whether to give me a faculty pass? I certainly know I didn't cheat during the exam (or any other exams for that matter). So anyway managed to sleep a few hours, then went down to uni to ask what the problem was. The people in the office told me it was probably due to the fact that the lecturer hadn't sent them that subject's results yet. So, ok I thought, everything's alright then. Few hours later, met a friend on ICQ and she told me that a friend taking the same subject already got his results for that subject! So like SHIT WTF's the problem then? Called up the undergrad office and asked them what was wrong and again they said just wait, results for *some* people in *some* subjects might not be out yet.

So now I wait patiently (albeit in a very stressed state) for the server to update the results again and hope I see a P where the WH used to be... Please, please, please let me pass!

D-Day (i.e. day my exam results come out) is getting closer and closer, which means more sleepless nights for me... I've already had two exam related nightmares so far and been waking up pretty often. So to say I'm stressed is sorta an understatement. Haven't been doing much past few days, mainly just rotting at home and going out for food only. Made clams in miso soup just now, clams sorta taste funny, like sorta bitter, dunno if that's normal... Hope I don't get a tummy ache later... Bought a 16-pack of Ferrero-s, finished more than half of them already after less than 5 hours buying them... When I'm stressed I tend to eat a lot... ARGH!!! I WANNA PASS!!! I WANNA GRADUATE!!! =|

Shit, five days before exam results are out! STREEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

Thursday, December 05, 2002

Was checking out my site stats (bored, why else?) Found something vaguely interesting yet disturbing. Try searching Yahoo! or Google with the keywords: personality test kill time alcoholic.

Monday, December 02, 2002

Well, haven't really been doing much lately except being online alot and playing alot of CS. Bored, bored, bored. Kinda worried about getting my results too.

Saturday, November 30, 2002

Whoopee.. Finally got my archives working again...

Friday, November 29, 2002

Just came back from BIG dinner, Harry Potter and CS. Friend's b'day, we went to this place where they give u seriously BIG platters of food (mostly meat i.e. barbequed ribs, sausages, chicken and lamb kebabs, chicken wings etc.) which you share and eat until you're so stuffed you can't move, good stuff, but something you wouldn't want to eat too often.

Harry Potter just opened few days ago here (cinema releases in Oz are usually exceptionally slow) so went and saw it after dinner. It was much better than the first one, IMHO, though a tad long, especially the ending-celebration part. So now awaiting LOTR:TT in about a months time, hope it'll be good.

Shit, still can't get the friggin archives to work properly... All of the archived posts disappeared except for the last two weeks' worth. Tried the solution in the Blogger Help thingy but doesn't work... Grrr...

ARGGHHHH!!! What happened to my archives!? Why are they GONE!?

KAWAII !!! Puchiko is SOOOO cute!!! ^_^

God damn, I am soooo fucking bored... What the hell is there to do in Melbourne?

Monday, November 25, 2002

Watched 'The Ring' at the cinema today. Wasn't too bad, though wish the plot was a bit clearer, some of it didn't really make too much sense to me. Anyway, it's still an above average horror film I guess, better than most of the crappy purely special effects driven so-called "horror" movies...

Haven't really been doing all that much since exams, a li'l bored not having much to do, but obviously beats being stressed out for exams anytime. Damn, I really hope I pass everything, don't wanna take friggin summer/another sem.

Friday, November 22, 2002

Well, I've *finally* finished my exams!!! Yay, I guess... Kinda bored now :\

Wednesday, November 20, 2002

Fuck. I think I screwed up the paper today big time. Fuck fuck fuck. I so hate exams.

Monday, November 18, 2002

I can be so paranoid sometimes. At times I feel that people don't enjoy being around me or just for some reason dislike me, but most of the time I find out that its not true at all. There was a time I thought my friends were ignoring me whenever I spoke, just turned out I wasn't speaking loudly and clearly enough.

Like a good friend of mine told me: "There's no reason for people to dislike you." Damn, gotta stop being so paranoid and self-conscious.

Sunday, November 17, 2002

Damn I just really *have* to get out tomorrow. Been eating almost nothing else but instant noodles for the past three days. Can't go on like this or I'll turn into the poor fella in the urban legend. You know, the one where your friend's friend knew some overseas student who wanted to save money on food so ate nothing but instant noodles everyday and eventually kicked the bucket having consumed one too many packets of Indo-mie.

In my case, I'm not really trying to save money though, just too lazy to get off my bum and get food outside...

Why oh why do I do this to myself again and again? Why? Really need to learn to be disciplined and stop slacking when I should be studying. *sigh*

Thursday, November 14, 2002

Hmmm... does anyone else ever wonder why reality TV shows are so popular? Why watch someone's else's boring life when you have your own to live? Is it because our own lives are so boring that watching people on TV loafing around or arguing seem exciting in comparison? Or is it just because watching TV has become such a habit we just *have* to watch whatever's on? Is it because we enjoy watching what crazy or stupid things people are willing to do for money (or whatever reward they get for their efforts)?

Or perhaps it really its just simply that we *like* peeking our noses into other people's lives just for the heck of it, no matter how uninteresting they may be. Or also because many contestants in these shows are sorta good looking and we jus like watching good looking people do whatever they do. Maybe the same thing can be said about blogging and webcams. I dunno, just curious and bored :). Maybe I should go and watch a reality TV show. If only I had a TV.

(When I don't have much happening in my life, I like to ponder about life and other useless things.)

Wednesday, November 13, 2002

*phew* Damn tired. Just got back from my first exam. Wouldn't say it was that tough - if only I had studied that is. *sigh* Praying for a miracle, hope can pass...

Had a bowl of sashi-don at Don Don on the way back to de-stress a bit... I am a HUGE fan of the sashi-don there. It's yummy, and kinda healthy too! They give you tons of veges and stuff with your sashimi...

Tuesday, November 12, 2002

ARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!! FUCKING STRESSED RIGHT NOW!!! I HATE EXAMS!!!

Monday, November 11, 2002

Day 3 without any real social interaction*.

* Definition does not include ICQ, phone, SMS, cashiers, bus drivers, sales staff etc.

Staying alone sucks.

cross strait water smackdown

ROFLMAO! (Found the Talking Cock site on Alcee's blog.)

[I removed the pic from my blog so it wouldn't be such a PITA to load]

Saturday, November 09, 2002

As you might have guessed from all the face-sitting and stuff, I don't have anything worth posting at the moment. This is due to the fact that I've got exams these few weeks and so do most of my friends.

So, anyway, just made a few slight modifications to my layout. You may have noticed that the donate oral sex icon died a quick and horrible death due to lack of donations. Alas, poor little donate oral sex icon, you shall be missed greatly.

I also added two other blogs to the 'visit' list which I visit quite regularly. This may look like an attempt to boost my flagging traffic by hoping that the people who own those blogs will return the favour *hint, hint* but I can assure you it that it's merely to make it easier for me to visit my favourite blogs.

Hmmm... if you think about it, I guess blogging isn't really about traffic and whether people read your posts onot. It really is just a way in which you express yourself to the world however and whenever you feel like it. Am I becoming a *gasp* blog whore (or rather in this case, a blog gigolo)?

Had a very bad tummy ache yesterday night. I think it must have been the prawn noodles. I made prawn noodles for lunch yesterday and left the soup in the pot until dinner-time and had it for dinner. Usually that wouldn't do much harm, except that I guess cuz it's summer food spoils really fast, like back in Malaysia.

Also, stupid ants keep trying to invade my apartment. It's really irritating, you seal off one entry point and they come back a few days later through some little crack elsewhere. I really hate ants. >:(

My next exam is on Wednesday, really stressed out trying to study for it right now. Blah, hate exams, hate ants, hate summer, sucks to be me right now...

Thursday, November 07, 2002

Do you spend a lot of time in front of the computer? If you do, I may have some bad news for you. Read about it over here.

Hmm... maybe I can use this to claim special consideration for my exams?

Weather was goddamn hot today, worse than yesterday even. Wouldn't be surprised if it hit the mid thirties...

Saw this weird looking guy on the tram sniffing glue or something. He was wearing bright green sunnies, cowboy hat, tracksuit, jeans and boots. He held this plastic bag filled with what looked like glue or liquid-paper (whatever it was, it smelled pretty bad) to his nostrils and mouth and kept breathing in and out of the bag. These two aussie chicks sitting across him were glancing at him alot, probably wondering what was up with this guy. When they were leaving their seats, the glue-sniffing guy suddenly sat upright and blurted "Staring.... Allllways staring...." Hmmm... just not something you'd see everyday.

Wednesday, November 06, 2002

I had one of the most memorable dinners ever last night. Actually, I should probably call it supper cuz it was at about 11pm but I still hadn't had my dinner by then so its dinner. Anyway, one of my friends had a 'tip' from his friend about this mamak shop which is actually not far from the place I live. So we went there and were greeted by the sight a real Indian man flipping roti! We knew instantly that we had stumbled onto something really good...

And it just kept getting better... they actually had teh tarik there! And the service was like really cool, cuz when I asked them if they had 'teh o ais limau' the guy told me like they didn't know what that was but that if I explained it to them they would make it for me, so I did, that was really nice of them huh? So anyway, we ordered and shared just about everything we could recognize as 'mamak food' on the menu, roti, murtabak, mee goreng, chicken curry, chicken briyani...

It was absolutely heavenly... (The only complaint I would have is that the nasi briyani wasn't fragrant enough.) If I were a member of the female species I would probably say the experience was 'orgasmic' but I won't, since I'm a guy and all... What I can be sure is I'll definitely be going back there to eat, or better yet, have some of their yummy mamak food delivered to my apartment. (They have free home delivery.)

Now I know you're thinking, just what is the big deal about a normal thing like eating at a mamak right? Well, when you've been coop-ed up in a gwai lou place with hardly any *real* Malaysian food like Melbourne for almost 5 years you will definitely know what the big deal is about. Man, I am already salivating just thinking about it.

Had a seriously stressful day today... Its really true, what they say about Murphy's Law, that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. And the worst part is that things will go wrong at exactly the moment when you really need things to run as smoothly.

So, what were the events that transpired which led me to this conclusion? Well it all started with me having to hand in my assignment at 4pm today and finishing it only around 3pm (my bad). The weather was somewhat cool when I stepped out so I wore my jacket and after the five minute walk to the tram stop, I realized it had suddenly become pretty warm (pretty lucky huh). What happened after that was that tram came seriously late, which really pissed me off since the weather was now friggin hot and I had an assignment due in less than an hour! So anyway went down to the printing shop and would you know it, the printing system thingy was down! So, had to wait for one of the shop attendents to be free (yet *another* delay) and had to print my stuff out from one of the PCs behind the service counter. After that I sprinted like a mad man over to the undergrad office and handed in the bloody thing at exactly 3:50pm...

Talk about a close call! *phew*

AAAAAAHHHHH!!!! ^1000000000

Well, had to shorten my scream of stress and frustration as it was screwing up the layout... I've only had a blog for like 4 days but seem to have a bad habit of breaking it very often.

I am super-ultimate stressed out right now! It's 2:30am, I haven't had much sleep in the past two days and I can't afford to sleep until my assignment, which is due in 13.5 hours(!) is done! OMG, seriously gotta kick this stupid procrastination problem... For me, history always repeats every semester. I start out in the semester wanting to really study well for a change and by the time the semester is over, I'll be doing last minute study or last minute assignment writing yet again! ugh...

Having a nice cup of white tea to soothe my nerves now... Anyway, back to work!

Monday, November 04, 2002

Well, I've decided that it's too much trouble than it's worth to change the comments system over to haloscan, so I'm staying with BlogOut. I also tried out a few guestbook sites and found that Alxnet suits my needs the best. Anyway, the guestbook is online now so take out ur virtual pens and sign my guestbook people! :D As for tagboard, I'll probably try it again sometime later in the near future. Oh, and thanks geline for the advice!

So, anyway I was trying to change my comments thingy over to haloscan, which looks like it has a cleaner interface than the one I'm currently using (which is actually not bad, just not as clean-looking). Well, I signed up at the site, logged in and grabbed the HMTL code to paste into my template, right? After publishing the page, I loaded my page up in Opera (been using this browser since ages ago, it really kicks ass) when lo and behold, my blog transformed into the blog equivalent of Britney Spears without makeup on. I tried fiddling around with it, but to no avail. A similar thing also happened when trying to install tagboard.

So this is an S O S going out to any kind soul who'll be willing to teach me how to install haloscan and tagboard on my blog without screwing up my layout. If you wanna help, please leave a comment here or send me an email. I would really appreciate it. Also, can someone recommend a good, clean guestbook thingy to use for my blog as well? Thanks people.

So anyway, I've just been wondering, what's the deal with blogs and personality tests? Just about any personal blog you go to (including this one :^), you will almost certainly stumble upon revelations about what model of hand-made Scandinavian furniture he is, what type of alcoholic beverage she is and just how pananoid-schizophrenic-manic-depressive-obssessive-compulsive the blog owner is.

Of course, personally I do think personality tests are plenty of fun, good for a laugh or may even tell you something you never knew about some obscure aspect of your personality, but what kinda makes me wonder is why you can see them on almost everyone's blog but not on maybe say everyone's personal website or favourite forum?

My theory is that perhaps nothing much was happening much that day, so Mr/Ms Blogger got really bored and did some random personality test he/she stumbled across in another blogger's website and posted the results of the test on his/her blog so he/she would have something to post on his/her blog, is that what usually happens? I dunno, I'm just curious about this seemingly mysterious connection between blogs and personality tests. Any thoughts?

Yay! My blog finally works again! Seriously, I thought I'd broken my blog cuz I got an error every time I tried to publish my posts last night. But it's ok now!! :) Must have just been Blogger's server acting up i guess.

Anyway, I'm at the college computer lab now trying to get some work done on the nasty assignment I mentioned earlier. Should get back to work now....

Yet another wasted day. Did a bit more work than yesterday, but mostly just did a lot of useless things like surfing the net, making herbal tea, looking at other blogs, listening to MP3s and generally not being very productive. *sigh* At this rate, I'll never pass this subject and won't be able to graduate on time. My parents are sooooo gonna kill me.

I keep asking myself, why the hell didn't I do Evidence in summer school? (Evidence is the subject which I'm doing the assignment for. It's much easier if you do it during the summer than the normal semester cuz you do an exam instead of this bitch-ass 5000 word assignment you have to finish in 7 days)

What Was Your PastLife?

IMHO people who think about the meaning of life alot tend to be unhappy, the reason being, if you were blissfully happy and satisfied with your life, you wouldn't need to think too much about what it all means, would you? Also, sometimes the more you know about how fucked up the world is and all the suffering people in the world experience, the more you tend to wonder what life is all about. (Personally, I sometimes think it's all a big, cruel joke.)

I've got this assignment due on Wednesday and all i did the whole night was set up this blog! What the hell am I doing! I have got a really *serious* procrastinating problem. Whenever I've got something important to do, I'll always do tons of other things first until there's no time to do the important stuff, then I'll finally do the important stuff really badly... Sometimes I kinda hate myself for doing this shit to myself. :\

First post, well, what should I write? I think I'll just introduce myself to you. I'm a 21 year old guy who's found himself at a turning point in his life. College was supposed to have been about partying and finding out about love and all that crap, now that I'm on the verge of graduation, I look back and think to myself, what the fuck happened? Nothing, that's the problem. Just four years of mediocrity, dejection and loneliness. Maybe I'm not as lucky as most, maybe I didn't try hard enough, whatever it is, knowing that the best years of your life have almost past you by without anything good happening to you fucking sucks!

As you can probably tell, this is my first attempt at a blog, so if it seems really amateurish, that's because I am an amateur at this. I'll just be using this site to post my experiences, feelings, and any random things that come to mind. As I'm not planning to tell anyone I know in real life about this site, I can also to be perfectly honest about everything I post and not offend or freak out anyone I know. :D
